Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Classic Boston Red Sox flannel gamer from the 1959 season was worn by veteran outfielder Jim Busby. The "59" season tag and size "46" tag remain sewn in place on the left front tail though the outline is all that remains of the missing "Tim McAuliffe" tagging above them. "Red Sox" on the front and Busby's number "7" on the back are sewn-on red and navy blue double felt. The Red Sox's signature red piping is displayed around the neck and along the button path on the front, as well as around the ends of both sleeves. Loads and loads of wear shows on this fabulous flannel game-worn jersey in the form of soiling throughout on this cream-colored classic which has a small unrepaired chevron-shaped hole on the back.
