Veteran goalie Mike Vernon donned this 1996-97 Wings gamer in a year capped off by his dazzling performance in the playoffs as his Detroit team captured the Stanley Cup and he collected the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Tagged in the collar as a Nike size "56" (with an attached store price tag), this important Vernon game-worn jersey with the single tackle twill numbers and lettering shows a small amount of marks scattered about, while the sleeves have been custom-shortened for Vernon who only stood 5.09, 170 lbs. The Wings' Cup-win in '96-97 was their first since 1955. Jersey comes with an LOA from Hockeytown and includes an attached registry hologram.
