Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
The minor pro WHA2 league, which was in existence for just one season, 2003-04, held its one and only All-Star game on January 27th, 2004 in Jacksonville, Florida, a game that pitted the WHA2 All-Stars against the Jacksonville Barracudas. We have Barrie, Ontario native David Deeves’s game-worn All-Star jersey from this one-time affair, after Deeves, who skated with the Macon Trax, had garnered 43 points in 29 games which earned him the right to call himself one of the league’s best. A heat-pressed label in the collar shows this sensational looking jersey, with the great WHA crest, to be an “OT Authentics Jerseys size 56”, with the gamer having a small amount of marks on the front, back, and both sleeves. Inside the jersey, Deeves has signed his name and number on the back of the crest in clear black marker, while sewn on the inside hem is a “2003-2004 WHA Game Worn Jersey” patch. Truly a great looking jersey from the short-lived league that consisted of six teams located in the southeastern U.S. Comes with an LOA.
