Rob Brown, whom at one point in his career, the 1988-89 campaign, notched 49 goals with Pittsburgh, wore this AHL Chicago Wolves gamer as he wound down his pro career after lacing ‘em up for 543 NHL games with 6 different big league teams. Tagged in the collar as an “SP” size “54”, this game-worn Wolves jersey shows board burns and marks on both sleeves, as well as on the front where we also notice a small unrepaired hole, along with more marks on the back number “44” where some puckering is evident, as is on the team’s crest. Brown was a heralded junior while with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, highlighted by a dominate 76-goal season in 1986-87. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins at #67 in the 1986 draft, he would be a Pen for four seasons before joining the Harford Whalers and a host of other clubs along the way, including a return to where it all began, in Pittsburgh, for three more seasons beginning in 1997, where he would hang them up.
