Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
From the fantastic hockey program the University of British Columbia (UBC) has offered over many years comes a great Thunderbirds game-worn jersey circa 1970s, an untagged blue with yellow trim gamer with the screened-on “UBC” and Thunderbirds logo on the front, number “11” on the back, and a couple of yellow maple Leafs and “Canada” on the left sleeve. This gamer shows a small scattering of marks, a couple of small material pulls near the back hem, and a lengthy 7-inch material pull on the left sleeve. UBC has served up big-time hockey since 1915, the Thunderbirds are a household name in university hockey, were part of Father Bauer’s pre-Olympic program in the 1960s, and were a national-level juggernaut in the early-1970s coached by Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame inductee (2009) Bob Hindmarch.
