Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Big winger Scott Mellanby, a veteran if there ever was one with 1431 regular season games tallied with six different teams over 20 seasons, wore this Blues gamer during the 2001-02 campaign, his second of four years with the Blues before winding things down in Atlanta. Tagged in the collar as a size “58”, this white 1st Set jersey shows sensational game wear, with an abundance of marks scattered about the front, back, and on both sleeves, and includes paint transfer and several small holes on both sleeves as well. On the hem are screened-on “Custom Crafted “ and “St. Louis Blues 1st Set 2001-02 Season” labels. Mellanby, presently “Director of Player Personnel” for the Montreal Canadiens, collected 840 points during his 1431 games, and also found time to spend 2479 minutes in the sinbin.
