Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
From Igor Larionov, one of the great Soviet stars who helped open doors for the scores of Russian players into North American hockey, comes his game-worn Detroit Red Wings jersey donned during the 1999-2000 campaign, Igor's 5th season in Motor City and his 10th year overall in the NHL after a stellar career with Moscow Red Army where he played mostly on the famed KLM line with Sergei Makarov and Vladimir Krutov. Tagged in the collar as a size "54", this Larionov gamer features the "NHL 2000" millennium patch sewn on the right breast and has a Red Wings "1999-2000 Game Jersey 1st. Set" label screened on the inside hem. A nice amount of marks are scattered about the front and sleeves, and a team repair is found on both sleeves as well. Larionov would lace 'em up for 921 NHL games and became an outstanding example of what Russian players have to offer.
