Super lot of four vintage wood sticks features gamers used by Rick Middleton and Dave Taylor and HOFers Phil Esposito and Marcel Dionne’s game-issued sticks.
“Middleton R.” and Rick’s number “16” are stamped on the shaft of his Sher-Wood PMP 5030 gamer which retains the All-Star sniper’s original tape job on the knob. Bare blade displays red goalpost paint transfer and more signs of game use in black marks on the blade and low on the shaft, which also has some red paint transfer.
“Taylor 18” is stamped on the shaft of Dave’s Sher-Wood PMP 5030 gamer with his number “18” handwritten in black marker above the name stamp. Taylor’s original tape job remains on the knob and he has signed in bold black marker across the front of the bare blade along with “Kings” and his number.
“Esposito” is stamped on the shaft of Phil’s team-signed CCM Canada Cup 76 game-issued stick. Espo’s and Bobby Hull’s autographs are at the top among the 20 or so very faint pencil signatures along both sides of the shaft that include fellow HOFers Bobby Clarke and Guy Lapointe, as well as the likes of Leach, Pronovost and Robert, the latter two who were in training camp only.
Dionne has placed a big bold black marker autograph with the notation “HOF 92” on the bare blade of his CCM PPM 101 game-issued stick with “M Dionne” stamped on the shaft.
