This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Marcel Dionne never won a Stanley Cup but is regarded by just about everyone as one of the greatest players in the history of the game, inducted into the HOF in 1992, and originally chosen second in the 1971 Draft by the Detroit Red Wings after Guy Lafleur went to the Habs. Marcel Dionne, as talented as can be, with a whopping 731 goals and 1771 points under his belt before calling it a day. Offered are two sets of Dionne’s game-used skates, originally offered from the Marcel Dionne collection, with the first pair, a set of C.C.M Tacks, scuffed and nicked from his days in junior, with blades sharpened so often they couldn’t be sharpened much more. Dionne has signed on the bottom of each boot in black marker as “Marcel Dionne 16”. To go with these pre-NHL skates are Post-NHL gamers from Dionne, a pair of Bauer Supremes, which show less scuffing and marks than his junior skates but still have nice game wear throughout. Number “16” is handwritten in black marker on the bottom of each boot as well. It’s a chance to own not one but two game-worn pairs of skates from the magnificent Dionne.
