It was hard-hitting D-man Vladimir Konstantinov's 2nd season with the Detroit Red Wings, 1992-93, when he wore this Wings gamer during that year's playoffs, and one which he has signed in black marker just below the team crest. Tagged in the collar with "Eastside" and "Maska" patches with a size "52" flap alongside, this important gamer features solid game marks scattered about the front, back and on both sleeves, with some board burns and a couple of unrepaired holes on the right sleeve and another unrepaired hole on the back hem. Small amounts of paint transfer are to note also. Sewn on the right breast of this jersey is the "Stanley Cup 1893-1993" centennial patch, and on the inside hem is a Red Wings' "93 Playoffs" team stamp. Konstantinov's story is well-documented. Following a Red Wings party celebrating their 1997 Cup win, he, his teammate Viacheslav Fetisov, and team masseur Sergei Mnatsakanov were in a limo that crashed into a tree, with Konstantinov and Mnatsakanov suffering serious head injuries and which ended a great hockey career.
