Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Black Hawks/jersey collectors will find this one tempting. It was worn by rookie defenceman Doug Crossman during the 1980-81 season and is a rather scarce Chicago style indeed, manufactured by Croane, with Gunzo's, size 48 and care tags sewn into the neck. Stretchy knit red Hawks road jersey has chain-stitched crossed tomahawk patches sewn onto the (thick) shoulders and a piece of pant suspenders for a fight strap. Expected light game use (Crossman got into nine games, picking up two assists), with a few good black stick marks on the front and some good interior pills. "Crossman" sewn onto a knit nameplate, puckered tackle twill numbers and that killer Indian head crest are also noteworthy, along with the still vibrant colors. Gorgeous gamer for a serious jersey collection.
