Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Definitely one of the key cards of the 1910 Imperial Tobacco C60 lacrosse set is #84, the rookie card of the legenday Hockey Hall of Famer Joe Malone, issued a year earlier than his 1911-12 Imperial Tobacco C55 rookie card. Mr. Malone, inducted into the HHOF in 1950, once scored 44 goals in 20 games while with the Montreal Canadiens and later, after rejoining his original team, the Quebec Bulldogs, notched 7 goals in one game, a record that still stands. Phantom Joe’s 1910 lacrosse card is a beauty, slabbed as a PSA 6 EX-MT, with it being Pop 2 with none grade higher.
