Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
From Doug West, artist for the Hockey Hall of Fame throughout the 1990s, comes this sensational opportunity to own five of his remarkable and limited-edition numbered prints, each measuring 12 1/2" x 20", with all signed in pencil by the players and Mr. West. Included in this 5-pack are HOFers Maurice Richard (inducted 1961), Johnny Bower (1976), Eddie Giacomin (1987), Stan Mikita (1983), and Gump Worsley (1980), with each print having the HHOF "Legends of Hockey Artwork Series" stamp at the bottom corner. The Maurice Richard print is numbered as 42/200, Bower 8/200, Giacomin 46/200, Mikita 43/200, and Worsley 3/200. The prints show no creasing or marks, aside from a couple of tiny marks on the outside border of the Bower print. Mr. West was first commissioned in 1990 by the Detroit Red Wings to paint seven players, a project which led to his association with the Hockey Hall of Fame.
