Leafs star Vic Lynn made a few bucks in the 1949-50 season after agreeing to this NHL Player's Contract signed by him and Leafs prez Conn Smythe, and initialed by League president Clarence Campbell. This mint contract, typed up in blue, was for $7000 for the season (or $4000 in the minors), with a caveat added that Lynn would earn an additional $1000 if he made the second all-star team and an additional $1000 for the first all-star team - $2000 in total for first all-star team recognition. HOFer Smythe (ind. 1958, dec. 1980), has signed in clear blue ink while Lynn has signed in clear black ink. A witness has also signed. And if you're wondering if Lynn made either all-star team…..he didn't.
