The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple hammered out a deal in the summer of 1946, with HOFers Art Ross (inducted 1946, deceased 1964) of the Boston Bruins agreeing to send Eric Pogue (and future considerations) to the Toronto Maple Leafs for future HOFer Walter "Babe" Pratt (inducted 1966, dec. 1988). Both Ross and Leafs coach Hap Day (inducted 1961, dec. 1990) have signed this 8 1/2" x 9" document (which is in fabulous condition with no marks or tears), as have 2 witnesses, all in clear black ink. The 1946-47 campaign in Boston would be the Pratt's final season in the NHL, while Eric Pogue would remain a minor leaguer.
