Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Craig Simpson donned this game-worn Oilers jersey during the 1989-90 campaign when the talented right winger-turned-talented broadcaster racked up a fine 29 goals and 32 assists and added 180 PIM's. The size tag is no longer, but the classic Oil Drop team crest is littered with marks which we also see on the stripes below, on both sleeves, and on the back including the number 18. We also count 5 team repairs on the left sleeve, another couple on the right sleeve, and another on the left breast. Blue paint transfer also shows on the right sleeve. Some puckering is noticeable on the back numbers, as well as on the Simpson nameplate. Simply a fine battle-scarred gamer from a fellow who tallied 497 points in 634 regular season games.
