Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Offered is one of the Reebok game-used sticks Sidney Crosby used during his first NHL game with the Pittsburgh Penguins after he scored the gold medal-winning goal for Canada at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Obtained directly from Sid the Kid, this Crosby Reebok Sickick II gamer has a Frameworth hologram sticker affixed to his black tape job towards the toe of the blade, which has a chip in the top edge near the heel. "S. Crosby 2" is printed on the shaft below Sid's white tape job with his number "87" written in black marker on the front of the knob. Sticker affixed to the back of the shaft indicates that Crosby had one assist in the game, a 3-2 win over Buffalo on March 2, 2010. Comes with a Frameworth COA. Crosby won the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2009-10. He also shared the Maurice Richard Trophy when he scored a career-high 51 goals to tie for the league lead with Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos.
