From the 1950s to 1970s comes a sensational collection of JD McCarthy Detroit Red Wings postcards numbering 328 in total, featuring many variations of the McCarthy cards described in detail on our website. Condition ranges from good with worn edges from the 1947 to '50 cards which have the complete team facsimile autographs on each back, to the '49-'50 cards showing some water damage, to worn edges and aging on the 1950s PCB-6 cards. Others show some worn edges, while most remain in excellent condition. An amazing collection of postcards (some duplicates) with the whole gang featured, from Howe, Lindsay, Delvecchio, Sawchuk, Crozier, Lumley and the rest. This huge Wings/McCarthy collection includes 27 type-1 and 2 from 1947 to 1950 (Howe, Lindsay, Kelly etc, from 1949-50 there are 12 (3 variations) of type PCB-1 to PCB-4 (Wilson, Babando, Carveth etc), along with 5 - 1950s PCB-6 cards (Leswick, Skov etc), 11 Blank Back late-40s-early-50s cards (Reise, Howe, Lumley etc), an 85-lot of mixed 1950s cards (PCB 11A, 11B, 12A, and 12B including Lindsay, Sawchuk, Bassen, Gadsby etc) , a 41-piece 1960s lot of PCB 7, 10A, and 10B (Lindsay, Pronovost etc), a big lot of 70 Blank Backs from the 1950s to 1970s (Sawchuk, Delvecchio, Crozier etc), and 77 mixed 1950s and ‘60s cards (Hillman, Chevrefils, Hall, Ullman, Howe etc). To note are the 77 cards from the 1950s and 1960s which show a mixed variety of issues, including those with varied styles of printing on the back with facsimile signatures, some with stamped names on the front, and some with fronts that show no names in any form.
