Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Beautiful old Fenway Park in Boston was the site of the 2010 NHL Winter Classic featuring the Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers, with Boston edging the Flyers 2-1 in overtime on a Marco Sturm tip-in. As part of the festivities, the Bruins held a Legends game and a family skate which saw HOFer Ray Bourque (inducted in 2004) forgo the game but take part in the skate. Offered is Bourque's festivities-worn Bruin jersey, tagged in the collar as a Reebok, with an attached size "XXL" flap. This vintage-style Bruins jersey with the laced neck has the "Winter Classic Boston 2010" patch sewn on the right breast and features the brown and gold colors worn by the Bruins from 1924 to 1934. Bourque's #77 on the back and sleeves is double tackle twill, while his nameplate is single sewn-on letters. Comes with an LOA from the Bourque family.
