Cool and historic collection of 5 Maple Leaf Gardens programs from the '62/63 postseason which saw the Torontonians hoist their 2nd of 3 straight in the early-1960s. We've got the scene covered here, with games 1 and 5 of the Leaf-Habs wars, with game 5 being the dagger that sent the Canadiens to the golf course. Then we have 3 programs from the Leafs-Red Wings Stanley Cup Finals, including games 1, 2, and the 5th and final game when the boys in blue took out Sawchuk, Howe and the rest to drink from Lord Stanley's mug. Programs are in VG+/EX to EX condition overall with vertical fold lines through the programs. All are complete with 84 pages each. The game 1 program features Leafs D-man Kent Douglas on the cover, and the contest, held on March 26, 1963, saw the Leafs best the Habs 3-1 to jump out to a 1-game lead. Program number 2, is from the 5th and final game of the semis, held on April 4, 1963, with Leafs star Bob Nevin on the cover, and is when the boys in blue whitewashed the Habs 5-0 to move on to the finals. The 3rd program, with speedy Dave Keon as cover boy, is from game 1 of the finals between the Leafs and Red Wings, a game which saw Toronto win 4-2 to quickly put Howe and company behind the proverbial 8-ball. Program number 4 has the legendary Tim Horton on the cover and is from April 11th at the Gardens, game 2 of the Finals, and the Leafs once again toppled the Wings by a score of 4-2. The 5th program, with slick Bob Pulford as cover boy, is from April 18, 1963, game 5, the night the Leafs beat Detroit 3-1 to capture the big prize.
