Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Wondrous possibilities with the wonderful crystal-clear photography of longtime Montreal Canadiens' photographer David Bier are offered here, led by a negative (approx. 5" x 7") of the 1952-53 Stanley Cup champion Canadiens. Fourteen photographs in the 4" by 6" range are from the early-1960s, feature the Bier Studios stamp on the back and include Plante, Johnson, Talbot, Hodge, JC Tremblay and Connelly. It appears that 24 negatives (5" x 7") are the ones used to produce the photos, with the non-developed ones featuring Beliveau, Fontinato, Provost, Rousseau, G. Tremblay (2), Harper and, from the late-50s, Olmstead. Phenomenal photography!
