Stunning glass trophy is the one which was presented to Butch Goring upon his induction into the Los Angeles Kings Hall of Fame, created as part of the team's 30th anniversary celebrations in 1997. The 11" high award from Butch's personal collection features an etched puck which reads: "Butch Goring, Los Angeles Kings Hall of Fame, March 14, 1997". Goring was inducted as a charter member of the team's Hall of Fame along with Marcel Dionne, Rogie Vachon and Dave Taylor, as well as a pair of longtime Kings employees, broadcaster Bob Miller and trainer Pete Demers. This solid and heavy trophy with a 3/4" high and 12" x 4" glass base remains in excellent-plus condition. Also offered is Butch's 1st goal puck, mounted on 8" x 10" wood, with a handwritten "First NHL goal Nov. 27th, 1969" sticker, plus Goring's March 1974 Athlete of the Month medal. The Viceroy goal puck, Goring’s first, has the usual nicks and scuffs one would find from a game-used puck, with the wood base remaining in excellent condition. Goring’s Athlete of the Month bronze medal shows the raised image of a discus thrower with the words “Citizens Savings Athletic Foundation”, and on the reverse is “Awarded to Robert Goring in Recognition of Athlete of the Month March 1974”. This medal is in wonderful condition with just a touch of marks and aging. Comes in a 4 ¾” x 4 ¾” wooden box preserved nicely with only a few marks to note.
