Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Six grinning cuties to add to a baseball nodder display here are gold base affairs from the 1966-to-1971 time frame. Being Montrealers, the Expos doll is, of course, our favourite and joins the only Japanese-made Texas Rangers doll as the condition leaders. We cannot spot any cracks in either, with, however, minor flaws, including minor flaking/chipping around the bases of the heads. A White Sox doll is next best with a 3/4" hairline crack rising up the right side of its face, while California Angels, Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants dolls are also present but with multiple flaws. Head cracks, along with paint chips in the base of the A's nodder and crazing all over the cap of the Giants mascot are most notable. Accompanied by their original boxes, they all nod nicely though and you'll be nodding your approval when they join your bobbing head doll shrine.
