Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
We feel it appropriate to start of this award winning group of old table hockey games with this very seldom seen display of miniature trophies. Offered through a mail-in promotion by the Coleco company in the early 1970's, the little plastic reproductions of the NHL's coveted silverware range in height between two and four inches. The Stanley Cup even has all of its previous winners inscribed on it. The 1971-72 Boston Bruins is the last team listed, helping to date the ensemble. Held in place by small plastic pegs, the trophies are thus removable. The nameplate beneath the Clarence Campbell Bowl has gone missing over the years but everything else is in its original state with the removable clear plastic lid showing just a few barely noticeable, barely worth mentioning light scratches. The display measures 21 1/2" long, 5" high and 2 1/2" deep. If you've heard about these little beauties or have seen pictures of them but never had a chance to acquire them, don't let this fantastic opportunity pass you by. Good luck with this formidable lot.
