Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Rare and very desirable circa-1935 “Ace-High” CCM hockey skates in-store advertising display sign is a vintage treasure to behold. Featuring the 14x10 image of a hockey player on a card with the “clubs” suit in the upper right corner, this vintage mid-1930s cardboard display stands 22” at its tallest, and measures 17 1/2" at its widest. Preserved in clean condition overall, it has a couple of dings on the top edge of the photo card, a small tear in the top left corner of the display, and a crease fold and colored paper loss in the bottom left corner. Also to note is a small tear in the upper left side of the photo card and a crease in the bottom right corner of the display. The easel stand on the back is partly torn but still attached and there are water stains to the cardboard reverse. A rare find that makes for a cool pre-World War II display piece.
