Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Cool 1960s NHL pennant collection of four features a pair each of Chicago Black Hawks and Detroit Red Wings flags with actual team photo prints! Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita appear in the two different Chicago team photos displayed respectively on the two Black Hawks variations offered, one of the 1966-67 edition of the Hawks, the other for the 1967-68 season. Gordie Howe and fellow HOFers Delvecchio, Ullman, Pronovost and Gadsby are pictured in front row of the same 1964-65 Red Wings team photo that appears on each of the same pair of Detroit pennants included. All four vintage 1960s pennants are full-sized, 30 inches long. The photo prints displayed on the left side of all four pennants are pretty nicely preserved despite obvious handling issues that include creasing, most notably vertical folds in the 1968 Black Hawks team photo. One of the Red Wings pennants is relatively clean and whiter, the other displays some yellowing and dark stains along the bottom edge. Not often seen, this lot will make a distinctive addition to your pennants, Red Wings and Black Hawks collections.
