Nine! That’s what you might be tempted to shout before teeing off with the late Maurice “Rocket” Richard’s golf clubs. The deceased hockey legend used this set of 13 golf clubs when he took to the links. A lethal left-handed shot on the ice, the Rocket played his golf right-handed, just in case you were wondering. Included are three Daiwa graphite woods, each with individual covers in Habs red, white and blue. A full set of irons includes separate pitching and sand wedges and Maurice’s trusty putter. (He was always pretty good at finishing strong.) The Rocket’s dark blue golf bag has a snap-on cover and Maurice’s full name is handwritten on the attached ID tag along with his phone number and Montreal address. A very well-used Canadiens golf glove is further evidence of the original owner’s allegiances. Included is Richard’s pull cart is included along with a pair of 1991 golf tournament 8x10 photos, both featuring the Rocket including one that also shows the late Butch Bouchard and Claude Mouton, and Canadiens captain Guy Carbonneau. Comes with an LOA from the Richard family.
