Arguably the best and most comprehensive NHL publication produced during the League's first two decades was this guide issued by General Motors for the 1933-34 season. Within its triple fold-out cover, the guide contains player profiles, photos and schedules for each of the four Canadian teams, team photos and line-ups for the five American based clubs, scoring stats from 1932-33, rules, trophy winners & coach profiles, etc. The 1933-34 season would prove to be historic on several fronts, as it was the last played by the original Ottawa Senators, would feature the first ever All Star game (to benefit Ace Bailey after his infamous encounter with Boston's Eddie Shore), and saw the Chicago Black Hawks win their first Stanley Cup, only to lose star goalie Charlie Gardiner two months later to a fatal brain hemorrhage. Perhaps the finest example of the General Motors Guide in existence, it is in like-new Near Mint condition - a beauty.
