Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
The trade that brought Brendan Shanahan to Detroit from Hartford early in the 1996-97 season, (for Paul Coffey and Keith Primeau), paid huge dividends for the Red Wings as the game’s premier power forward helped Detroit to three Stanley Cups in the next six years. Shanny's Easton Classic with wood Easton blade is type of stick he used with Wings circa the early-2000s around the time of the 2002 Cup, 2002 Olympics and his 500th goal. Fully taped at the blade and knob with "Shanahan" stamped on the blade, "14" noted on the shaft in marker and a purchase date on the back. Obvious signs of game use with no cracking.
