Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Newly-minted HOFer Pavel Bure placed a big, bold silver paint pen autograph with his number 10 across his tape job on the blade of his Sherwood game-used stick. The Russian Rocket scored 437 goals in just 702 NHL games before knee injuries forced him to retire at the age of 31. He still holds the team records for most goals in a season with two teams, the Vancouver Canucks and the Florida Panthers. Pavel had back-to-back 60-goal seasons with Vancouver in 1992-93 and 1993-94 and 51 in his final season with the Canucks in 1997-98. He set a team-record with 58 goals with Florida in 1999-2000, and topped that with 59 the following season, a Panthers mark that still stands. Sher-Wood P.M.P. 7000 wood gamer has “Bure” stamped on the shaft along with a thick and bold “10” in black below it. Pavel’s ribbed white tape job is intact on the knob and his black tape job on the blade has worn through along the bottom edge, which displays a couple of rough spots towards the toe. More nice game use shows in black marks and red goalpost paitn transfer on the back of the shaft. Solid and crack-free signed game-used stick wielded by one of the most exciting players to ever lace them up!
