Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Hall of Fame center Doug Gilmour and Maple Leafs great Wendel Clark are featured in this lot of two game-used sticks. Doug’s Titan TPM1020 dates from his days with Calgary, who he won a Stanley Cup with in his first season with the Flames in 1988-89, as evidenced by the number “39” written in black marker above the “D. Gilmour” factory stamp on the shaft. Killer’s nicely-worn white tape job remains on the knob and Doug has signed “Best Wishes” in ballpoint on the shaft. Solid and crack-free stick shows nice game use with the remaining portion of his original black tape job worn through along the smooth bottom edgle of the blade. “W Clark” is stamped on Wendel’s Bauer Supreme gamer which retains his tape job on the knob featuring white gauze tape with a loose strand at the top and a wrap of white hockey tape at the bottom. Solid gamer has part of Wendel’s original black tape job remaining and held in place by scotch tape on the blade, which has a chip on the top edge. Great display pieces from a few of the Maple Leafs’ favorite sons!
