Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Rock-solid blueliners Andre Dupont and the late Keith Magnuson and Bob Gassoff are featured in this lot of three 1970s game-used sticks. Moose’s Sher-Wood PMP gamer has “Dupont” stamped on the shaft and his number “6” written in black marker. Date stamp on the back of the bottom of the shaft is “26 Oct 1973” which dates it from the Flyers’ first of back-to-back Stanley Cup championship seasons. Broad Street Bullies’ beauty of a gamer retains Andre’s white tape jobs on the blade, with a loose strand at the toe, and on the knob. The blade is cracked on the bottom edge of the heel on this otherwise solid gamer. Part of the “Magnuson” factory stamp is visible on the shaft of Keith’s Victoriaville Pro game-used stick. The number “3” he wore with the Black Hawks is legible in faded and bled black marker below his black tape knob wrapped with well-worn white tape. Keith’s black tape job remains on the crack-free blade of this solid gamer. “Gassoff B” is stamped on the shaft of the Blues defenseman’s Sher-Wood PMP along with Bob’s number “3”, which was retired by St. Louis following his death at the age of 24 in a motorcycle crash following the 1976-77 season. Bob’s tape jobs remain on the knob and blade, which is cracked on the bottom edge of the heel of this otherwise solid game-used stick.
