Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Hall of Fame left wing John Bucyk is among the members of the Boston Bruins whose vintage signatures adorn Chief’s mid-1970s Sher-Wood game-used stick. Johnny’s original and well-worn white tape job remains on the knob of this Sher-Wood PMP gamer, which has “9 Bucyk” stamped below it on the shaft. The original tape was removed from the now-bare blade. Solid and crack-free Bucyk gamer has a “Jan. 3 1974” factory date stamp low on the back of the shaft. There are some 18 Bruins autographs along the shaft, including the likes of Sheppard, Vadnais, Marcotte, Schmautz and trainer Frosty Forristtal, among others. The signatures in the middle of the shaft have been damaged by water stains and/or humidity. Comes with an LOA.
