Talk about an elite grouping, the 17 game-used sticks offered here were wielded by some of the National Hockey League's most effective snipers. Included, with their NHL goal totals, are; Wayne Gretzky (894), Mike Gartner (708), Mark Messier (694), Steve Yzerman (692), Mario Lemieux (690), Jaromir Jagr (665), Teemu Selanne (663), Brendan Shanahan (656), Joe Sakic (625), Mike Modano (561), Ron Francis (549), Jarome Iginla (516), Alexander Mogilny (473), Doug Gilmour (450) and Pavel Bure (437). Also included are sticks of Vincent Lecavalier (373) and Marian Gaborik (324) who have yet to join the 400-goal club. A large number of these gamers are signed. Way too much information to detail here so make sure you read below for all you need to know about this incredible collection.
Wayne Gretzky – The Great One has signed in bold black marker on the upper part of the wood blade insert of his super-rare Hespeler 9900 Graphite Matrix game-used stick. This two-piece composite, one of the first Hespeler styles used by Wayne, has “Gretzky” stamped on the top of the Hespeler wood blade insert. Wayne’s Jack the Gripper knob shows nice wear as does the bottom edge of the baby-powdered black bulldog tape job on the blade;
Mike Gartner – Mike has signed in gold paint pen on the front of the top of the blade insert of his Louisville TPS Graphite two-piece gamer. The white “Gartner” stamp on the blade insert has partially worn off. Mike’s tape jobs remain on the blade and knob;
Mark Messier – Mark has placed a big black marker autograph across the now-bare blade insert of his Louisville TPS Graphite Rubber game-used stick. “Messier” is stamped on the top of the blade insert, which had its tape removed for Mark’s signature. Moose’s original black tape job remains on the knob;
Steve Yzerman – Stevie Y placed a big, bold silver paint pen autograph across the now-bare blade of his Easton T-Flex Graphite two-piece gamer. “Yzerman Custom 95” is factory printed on the shaft which retains his white tape job on the knob covered with its nicely worn red gauze tape wrap, with a loose strand at the bottom where Yzerman’s no. 19 is written in black marker. Easton blade insert had its tape job removed for the captain’s signature;
Mario Lemieux – Super Mario has signed in big, bold black marker on the now-bare blade of his Koho Revolution game-used stick. “Lemieux” is stamped high on the shaft just below le Magnifique’s original tape job on the knob. Tape was removed from blade for Mario’s signature;
Jaromir Jagr – Jaromir placed a black marker signature on the top side of the middle of the shaft of his Koho Core Beam 9 two-piece gamer. Jagr’s distinctive tape jobs remain on the Koho blade insert, which shows nice game wear and has “8-18h” written in fine gold paint pen on the upper part of the back edge, and on the knob, which has a red tape wrap at the bottom. “Jagr” is factory-printed on the top side of the shaft;
Teemu Selanne – The Finnish Flash placed a big, bold black marker signature which he dated 1999 across the now-bare blade of his Titan 8850 ASD game-used stick. “Selanne” is stamped low on the shaft which retains Teemu’s nicely-worn black gauze tape wrap on the knob. The blade, which had its tape removed for Selanne to apply his autograph, shows nice game wear with a small missing piece from a chip on the top edge;
Brendan Shanahan – Brendan placed a big, bold black marker signature across the front of the now-bare wood blade insert of his Easton Aluminium Pro Gold 105 two-piece gamer. “Shanahan” is stamped on the top edge of the Easton blade insert, which exhibits nice game wear and had its tape removed for Brendan to apply his autograph. Brendan’s original black tape job remains on the knob;
Joe Sakic – Super Joe has signed in silver paint pen across the now-bare blade of his Easton Synergy composite game-used stick. Joe’s original tape job remains on the knob wrapped in well-worn black gauze tape and “19 Sakic” is stamped on the top side of the shaft;
Mike Modano – Mike placed a huge, bold black marker autograph across the wood blade insert of his Easton A/C 7000 two-piece gamer. Modano’s well-worn white tape job on the knob has a “04/04/96 vs Jets notation” in black marker on the back side. “Modano” is stamped on the top of the Easton wood blade insert which displays nice game use and remnants along the bottom edge of the black tape job that was removed for Mike to apply his signature;
Ron Francis – Ronnie Franchise has signed in black marker on the front of the heel of his Franklin Graphite 5090 game-used stick. “Francis” is factory stamped in white high on the shaft and Ron’s number “10” is written in black marker at the bottom of his well-worn white gauze tape job on the knob. The black tape job on the blade shows nice wear along the bottom edge;
Jarome Iginla – Jarome has signed in black marker on the front of the heel of his broken and repaired Easton Synergy game-used stick. His number “12” is written in black marker at the bottom of his white tape job on the knob which displays a black marker “x” near the top. Jarome’s black tape job remains on the blade. A complete crack through the lower part of the shaft has been glued to repair it and make it whole again;
Alexander Mogilny – “Mogilny” is stamped on the wood blade insert and Alex’s familiar number “89” is handwritten in bold black marker his on the shaft of the Russian superstar’s Easton Aluminium 6000 Convex two-piece gamer which retains its original tape jobs on the knob and blade;
Doug Gilmour – Doug has signed a big, bold “Best Wishes” autograph in silver paint pen across the now-bare blade of his Titan ASD Graphite game-used stick. Killer’s white tape knob remains intact and “Gilmour” is stamped on the shaft, which was custom-shaved on all four edges. Nice game wear on the blade, which had its tape job removed for Doug to apply his signature;
Pavel Bure – Pavel’s gold paint pen autograph sits across the black tape job on the wood blade insert of his Bauer Composite D.E.T. Pro 5000 two-piece gamer. The Russian Rocket’s number “10” is written in black marker at the bottom of his nicely-worn white tape knob which exhibits red paint transfer on the top front;
Vincent Lecavalier – Vinny has placed a nice, big bold black marker autograph across the front of the wood blade insert of his Nike Ignite two-piece gamer. Tape remnants remain on the blade where the tape job was removed for Lecavalier to apply his signature and his white tape knob remains intact;
Marian Gaborik – “M Gaborik” is stamped on the shaft of his Nike game-used stick. Marian has signed in silver paint pen on the back of the blade, which has remnants of his black tape job which was removed for his autograph. Gaborik’s black tape job remains on the knob.
