Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Awesome Montreal Juniors game-worn jersey dates from the mid-1970s. Tie-neck style has Maska tagging in the neck along with a washed-out flag tag that indicates the jersey is a size “Men L 44/46” in very faded printing. No. 7 is sewn on the back and top of each shoulder in red and blue double twill, with the blue somewhat laundry faded. Anchor stitching has let go on the bottom left edge of the big “Junior de Montreal” crest of red, white and blue vinyl on fabric backing. We count a dozen team repairs on the front of the jersey alone, with four more on the back and another sewing fix on the back of the right sleeve and one to the right of the “7” on the right shoulder. More great game wear throughout includes marks all over the team crest, red and blue paint transfer on the right shoulder, more red paint transfer on the right side of the back and upper right sleeve, loads of pilling and general soiling. A fantastic piece of Montreal junior hockey history and a great 1970s tie-neck gamer!
