Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Cool white mesh minor league game-worn jersey is a 1996-97 Charlotte Checkers affair worn by defenseman Tom Brown. The East Coast Hockey League gamer displays a colorful Checkers team crest sewn on the front with a removed nameplate on the back. Brown only played three games for Charlotte in 1996-97 so this gamer may have been worn by someone else, possibly Shawn Wheeler, who appeared in 18 games that season. HiLi manufacturer’s flag tag in the neck indicates size XXL; we measure it out to a 56, approximately. Numbers are sewn-on black and orange twill. While the orange in the team crest is a bit muted, the orange trim on the rest of this gamer is absolutely eye-popping! HiLi patch is sewn on the right rear tail and a thin fight strap remains inside the back. Solid game wear shows in black marks on the front, back and both sleeves and unrepaired cut/tear holes on the back of both sleeves. A stain on the front runs through the bottom of the team crest and holes on the upper back are damage from nameplate removal. A very vibrant minor league gamer!
