Center Josef Vasicek wore this Nashville Predators gamer during his brief tenure in the Music City in 2006-07. Acquired from Carolina in an offseason trade for Scott Walker, Vasicek had 13 points in 38 games for Nashville before he was dealt back to the Hurricanes in return for Eric Belanger on February 9, 2007. Vasicek’s Predators game-worn jersey is from the team’s second season set of navy jerseys as per the MeiGray population report. Size 58 flag tag in the neck has Vasicek’s jersey number “63” written in blue marker through the Canadian flag across the top, which is sewn over in white thread by nameplate stitching. Cutting Edge Sports patch sewn inside the left rear hem with Preds equipment manager Pete Rogers’ facsimile signature also indicates the jersey is from Nashville’s second set of the 2006-07 season. The MeiGray registry number appears on the 2006-2007 game-worn patch sewn inside the right rear tail. A slash of red paint transfer with yellowish marks at the bottom sits on the silver fabric to the left of the Reebok patch on the back of the neck. A faint mark on the left elbow is another example of wear on this obviously lightly used gamer. Also included are Josef’s game-issued Predators Easton gloves with “Vasicek” embroidered in white thread on the outside edge of each glove.
