Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

In 1998, the city of Vancouver hosted the 48th Annual NHL All-Star Weekend. This is an official North American team game jersey worn by goaltender Martin Brodeur featuring a number of commemorative patches including those of the New Jersey Devils, the 1998 All-Star logo, the NHL shield and the flag of Canada, his native country. The tail features the embroidered logos of CCM, the NHL and the NHLPA and double CCM tags are there in the neck with the size (60) indicated in ink. Sewn into the fight strap is the NHL's embroidered inventory number, indicating that this uniform was one of five issued to Martin for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or quite possibly one of the three periods. Signed by Martin with the added "30" in black Sharpie on the back numbers. Game wear is evident on this one, with a small black mark in the middle of the lower front and another mark from a board burn resulting in a tiny hole up on the left shoulder.
