Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Hockey's top talent gathered in Anaheim in January of 1997 as the National Hockey League showcased the best and brightest from each of its teams. Brendan Shanahan represented his team, the Detroit Red Wings, at the event and the plum and black Western Conference jersey he wore is tagged in the neck in size 56 with CCM and Center Ice labels above. "Shanahan" is sewn-on in individual letters (no nameplate) along with a Detroit Red Wings shoulder patch and a crest commemorating the 1997 game. Little to no game wear on this one-period uniform. The inside of the fight strap is stamped in red "1997 NHL All-Star Game - San Jose" and has an identification number, helping to identify this as a uniform issued to Brendan for the game. Shanny has placed a large black autograph inside behind the crest.
