Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

Before stepping into the media spotlight in Philadelphia, Russian goalie Ilya Bryzgalov wore this goalie equipment while toiling in anonymity in Phoenix. Bryzgoalie's offbeat personality made him the center of attention with the Flyers but his results with the Coyotes are what enabled him to hit the jackpot with $51-million free agent deal in the summer of 2011. Offered are Ilya's Coyotes game-worn goalie pads, chest protector and goalie pants and skates, the latter of which are both signed. A Bryzgalov game-used goalie stick is also included. "Bryzgalov" is embroidered in burgundy thread on the outside edge of the knee of both of Ilya's Coyotes Vaughn Velocity game-worn goalie pads. These gamers remain in fantastic shape, with really nice game wear showing in black marks throughout, and reddish bleeding from Bryzgalov's Coyotes hockey socks. There are black marker notations on both pads on the inner padding at knee level. Ilya's goalie pants in Coyotes colors Vaugh X-Large and "Bryzgalov" tagging inside the hip display great game wear with black marks on the front of both legs and red goalpost paint transfer on the white bands of the left leg. Ilya’s silver paint pen autographs sit on the back of the heel of each of his Bauer Supreme 7000 game-used skates;
“Bryzgalov” is embroidered on the left breast of his Vaughn game-worn chest and arm protector;
Ilya’s Torspo game-used stick has “Bryzgalov” factory printed on the shaft displayed beneath his original white tape knob. Bryz’s white tape jobs on the handle above the paddle and on the blade remain intact. Nice game wear with marks on the tape job on the blade and on the paddle, red paint transfer on the back of the tape job on the handle above the paddle, and chips on the upper part of the shaft of this solid gamer.
