Awesome photo-matched Roman Turek game-worn mask is an Iron Maiden-themed classic from his time with the Calgary Flames in the early-2000s. This Turek gamer was made by Warwick and painted by Bishop Custom Designs, with Bishop 2001 written on the back edges on both sides of the mask. Artist Ray Bishop considers it among the top 5 of his creations which number well over 1,000! Roman wore this mask with the Flames in 2001-02 and into early January of the following season. A few solid matches are clear to see in a pair of photos of Turek wearing the mask on January 1, 2003. These shots show the paint chip on the bottom of the foot near the big toe on the right side of the chin; another paint chip on the bottom of the foot near the big toe on the left side of the chin; and another paint chip above the cage on the front on the fingernail on the right side. Great game use includes cracks along the top edge of the front beneath the cage and more paint chips. The Warwick straps remain though some of the interior padding was removed. The mask is signed on top but part of the gold paint pen autograph is missing. All told this classic with clear photo matches would be a prized addition to any game-worn mask collection!
