Capitals goalie Michal Neuvirth's fantastic 2011 Winter Classic game-worn mask is video-matched to the presentation video introducing this special design. The design by Dave Gunnarson features distinctive airbrush marks with "Neuvy" painted on the chin which clearly show in the video, particularly the thin lines in the right part of the "N". Michal placed a nice bold blue marker signature on the right side of the top of the mask. Gunnarsson's paint job includes his handwritten text on the top of the mask above the top strap button, including the copyright mark with his Internet address. The artist has also signed and dated the mask "2010" above the left eye. Though Neuvirth served as the backup for the game at Heinz Field, this is the mask that the Czech goalie wore throughout the warm-up prior to the annual outdoor game. Straps and all original padding remain in place. Any game-worn goalie mask collection would only be enhanced by the addition of this video-matched 2011 Winter Classic original.
