Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
All-time wins and shutouts leader Martin Brodeur's signed Heaton game-worn goalie pads are photo-matched to four action shots from the 1998-99 season, including a pair of photos from the All-Star Game in Tampa Bay! Plain to see in these images are the triangular-shaped mark in the H in "Heaton" on the left side of the right pad, as well as the diagonal marks on the right pad below the knee roll and into the sewn-on red leather swirl. Marty has signed both pads in black marker along with his sure-to-be-retired number 30. "Martin Brodeur" is embroidered in white thread on a black leather patch on the outside edge of the right pad, and on the red leather patch on the outside edge of the left pad. Fantastic game wear throughout with loads of black marks, wear to the leather, including the "Helite IV" padding on the outside of the right knee, and pinkish bleeding on the inside of the knee protectors from Marty's hockey socks. Amazing display pieces from a three-time Stanley Cup champion and arguably the greatest goalie ever!
