Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
A yellow lace? None other than Alex Ovechkin wore these Washington Capitals game-used hockey pants. The plain black CCM pants date these to the first two seasons of Ovi's NHL career when the Capitals wore a black, gold and blue color scheme through 2006-07 before switching back to the franchise's original red, white and blue colours. The long, loose yellow hockey skate lace in the front makes it distinctively Ovi's. A Capitals hologram sticker is applied to the right hip padding and the modern NHL crest patch is roughly sewn on the rear of the right leg. The end of the waist strap is wrapped in white hockey tape and nice game wear shows with scuffs throughout and an unrepaired board burn hole on the outside of the right thigh.
