Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Mike Veisor's 1978-79 Chicago Black Hawks game-worn jersey was recycled for pre-season games before it was restored. LOA accompanying this gamer with the "78" season patch sewn inside the right front tail originally worn by the Hawks goalie states that the number 1 on the back and both sleeves, which was later retired to honour Glenn Hall, were restored from old Black Hawk jerseys. A longer nameplate from the recycled version of the jersey was removed, revealing the shorter one with Veisor's surname. Gunzo's and Wilson size-44 tags are sewn into the back of the neck. Game wear features black marks on the front and board burns on both sleeves. Outline of removed “4” on the back and both sleeves to the left of the restored number 1.
