Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Terrific early Vancouver Canucks home white jersey was originally worn at some point during the team's first two seasons and then recycled into an Alumni jersey with "Molson" screened across the front, a Molson's patch sewn on the right shoulder and a "Cahan" nameplate sewn on the back. Tough to determine whether this one is from 1970-71 or 1971-72. The Canucks removed the numbers and "Vs" and then screened them back on. A General Athletic washing instructions tag is in the inner hem and the garter-style fight strap in the tail has been cut out. Two team repairs turn up on the front and that original stick-logo crest is a treat! More game wear includes stick marks and scuffs and a few material runs. A hard-to-find style, even considering all of the team's alterations!
