Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

The scrappy Claude Lemieux was regarded by most as the ultimate pest, unless he was a member of your team. Offered is a wonderful white Montreal Canadiens jersey worn by Lemieux during his rookie outing. Tagged in the neck by Maska Ultrafil with a faded size-50 size label off to the side. The large, embroidered Maska label can be found on the outer tail and a garter-style fight strap has been sewn inside. Claude Lemieux played only 8 games for the Canadiens during his rookie season of 1983-84, which would explain why the jersey displays lighter game wear. Obvious signs of game use include a solid red post-paint transfer mark up on one shoulder, a few nice stick marks on the front and arms and great inside pilling. We have reasons to believe this is the very first, if not one of the first, Canadiens jersey Claude Lemieux ever wore.
