Stunning Colorado Rockies game-worn jersey was worn by goalie Rick Laferriere during his one and only NHL game in 1981-82. A fourth-round pick by the Rockies in 1980, Laferriere took over for Glenn "Chico" Resch for the third period of a game against Detroit at Denver's McNichols Sports Arena on February 23, 1982. Laferriere allowed one goal the rest of the way in the Rockies' 6-3 loss. Sandow and laundry instruction flag tags remain in the neck of Laferriere's #29 game-worn home jersey. Rockies crest on the front and lively C patches on the shoulders are sewn-on twill as are the numbers on the back and both sleeves. Surname letters are heat-pressed vinyl on a nameplate, which was likely changed, possibly from either Yvon Vautour or Dave Watson, who each wore #29 the previous season. Fight strap loop has a skate lace attached. Solid black mark on the left shoulder and there is a small hole below the numbers on the rear tail, pilling inside and out, and greyish marks, possibly stains, on the front and right sleeve. An amazing and attractive game-worn jersey with a story to tell from a long-defunct franchise.
