Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/30/2012
Rogie Vachon registered a record of 27 wins with 14 losses and 13 ties in 1974-75 with the Los Angeles Kings and his GAA of 2.24 was low enough at the midway point of the season to earn him a nod to play in his second All-Star game. Rogie was on the winning side as the Wales Conference, in part thanks to MVP Syl Apps' two goals, took care of the Campbell Conference 7-1 at the Montreal Forum. Vachon's stunning white durene #1 jersey is tagged in the neck by Gerry Cosby and measures out to size 46. Everything is sewn on, including the beautiful embroidered NHL crest on the front and "Vachon" in individual letters (no nameplate) on the back. Jersey is in fabulous condition with some areas of rust coloured staining to note. A treat is the bold marker signature that graces the lower front. From the personal collection of Rogatien Vachon, his signed letter of authenticity will be included.
