Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2012

The WHA's short-lived Michigan Stags left behind some awesome game-worn jerseys! Defenceman Paul Curtis wore this rare beauty until the Stags moved to Baltimore midway through the 1974-75 season. This heavy durene alternate captain's game-worn jersey with a garter-style fight strap has Wilson size-48 tagging in the neck, an embroidered and nylon crest sewn on the front, and "Curtis" sewn on a long knit nameplate. Game wear shows in red paint transfer on the bottom right of the nameplate, on the front tail below on the crest and on the back of both sleeves, and black marks near the left cuff. A small unidentified white spot stain on the top black band on the right sleeve is to note on this magnificent piece of WHA history.
